Ouija (2014)

Goofs

Ouija

Edit

Continuity

(at around 9 mins) In the film's second scene Debbie hangs herself using a string of lights from her bedroom, in every shot after this the lights remain in their original location.
(at around 1h 17 mins) As Sarah is being pulled into the room with Doris's body, the door to the furnace is open. In the next shot as Laine is running to the entry to the room, the furnace door is closed.
Daren Kagasoff's hairstyle is inconsistent throughout the film revealing that those specific scenes were re-shoots.
(at around 6 mins) After Debbie shuts the back door, she jumps at the sound of the gas ring turning on by itself. The shot shows this from above with a kettle next to it. In the next shot, she turns off the gas and the kettle is on top of the ring.
(at around 39 mins) The sidewalk chalk supposedly used to write "Hi Friend", found in the underpass by the character Trevor, changes length between shots.

Revealing mistakes

(at around 35 mins) When Pete got slammed into the Mirror it cracked, but in the next scene the Mirror wasn't cracked or damaged, and nothing happened to his hand.

Miscellaneous

(at around 56 mins) When Laine goes up in the attic through the small ceiling hatch, there are very large objects in the attic that would never have fit through the hatch, including an easy chair and a barrel.

Anachronisms

(at around 1 min) In the beginning when a young Debbie and Laine are playing Ouija, Laine is going over the rules and tells Debbie that if she looks through the planchette, she'll see the ghost - you can clearly see the "2013" copyright stamp on the back of the planchette, even though this scene is supposed to take place around the eighties to possible nineties.

Plot holes

(at around 4 mins) Debbie tells Laine outside of her house that she been playing with an Ouija board and is going to stay home. Later on Laine finds the Ouija board (at around 22 mins) and stated she did not know she had one.
