With dreams of going to college, Glen Burnie, Maryland resident Donna Ferres spends her days working at a local box factory in order to save money. But when her boss pushes her to the brink, Donna decides it's time to move on. Thankfully, Donna rebounds quickly; she lands a new job working the overnight shift at a local convenience store. Working the graveyard shift alone has its upsides - Donna is able to attend college during the day - but it also has its downsides too. And after a familiar face walks through the door and makes a plea for help, Donna's night derails into a spine-chilling tailspin.
