The secret of child actor Ronnie Kroll was that he was stepping into the lead role of Oliver in the Broadway musical ''Oliver!'' in three days: on Thursday, November 21, 1963. The actor who had previously played Oliver was growing too old for the part - at age 12! Kroll would be playing opposite baby-faced, pre-Monkee Davy Jones, who was in the role of The Artful Dodger at this time. Kroll sang Oliver's signature tune, ''Where Is Love,'' for the ''I've Got a Secret'' audience.
The creator of 'I've Got a Secret' makes his first appearance. The following episode was originally scheduled for November 25, but on Friday November 22, President John F. Kennedy was tragically assassinated.
