Seriously, Burnham Disobeys Orders is like jumping the shark at this point. Its good that she finally got some consequences for it, but they can only go to that well so often.
The last couple of episodes havent really been that good...maybe I was expecting too much but, no...I think that they have wasted the mostly blank slate they were given by a new universe. We've already seen an Orion junkyard, why another? Also, there is something about Gray that just creeps me out...actor seems to be off or something.
But really, at this point, there should have been more universe-building. When you are given a blank slate, your future is unhemmed and you dont have to worry about running out of content anytime soon. There should be some sense of something bigger going on, but the last several episodes have been worldbuilding of the most boring parts of the world. I mean, if they wanted to combine the last two episodes, that would be good (Burnham doesnt have to be EVERYWHERE...flesh out some of the other characters, they are really overreliant on Burnham, who would be a great secondary character, but cant hold the show by herself), get the character of Adira down and bring back Book in one episode. When you have an open canvas, you should have a problem with cramming too much into one season (like Season 1 with introduction, Klingon war, Mirror universe all smashed together) instead of having to find backwater stories.
