- In 2032, Zealandia is the only virus free country left on earth at a high cost to its population. Could the bag carried by a fearless woman entering the country be the downfall of this oppressive state?
- In 2032, a deadly pandemic has killed most of the world's population. Zealandia (formerly New Zealand) is one of the last territories to remain virus free due to its remote location and oppressive android based bio security controls.
Refugees from all over the world flock to Zealandia hoping for survival and a chance of a better life. Travelling on a refugee ship, Eva a 30-year-old woman is heading back home. In this futuristic dystopia, everything from the outside world is submitted to intensive biosecurity checking and as she arrives, Eva, and the arriving refugees are forced to leave their personal possessions behind, under the threatening presence of the security androids. Reluctantly Eva leaves her bag behind. However, despite being under constant surveillance, Eva still manages to secretly wire up an aerosol can to the inside of her bag setting off an ominous timer countdown.
Escorted into a customs and immigrations compound, the refugees face an intrusive health and virus check in the "egg room" where they are forced, to strip down and step into transparent plastic containers where those who are not cleared are disposed of. Eva working against the clock, pushes through the crowd to submit herself to the scan. Once cleared, she heads to the final check point.
Meanwhile, outside the compound, a man in his mid-thirties, Jack, leaves his son behind as he approaches a security fence. The father and son both have a distinctive mark: they are missing their index fingers.
Entering the last control area, Eva's identity is checked through her finger where a tracker chip is implanted. Initially it looks like she has cleared the system, but at the last minute, it is revealed she was carrying a forged ID via a fake prosthetic finger. As Eva frantically runs away, security androids begin chasing her along the compound's tunnels. She hides in a boiler room where she discovers a room where an incinerator destroys all the refugees' belongings. She spots her bag as it is about to be destroyed and manages to retrieve it just before it reaches the fire. Relieved, she opens the bag, stops the timer and replaces the can.
Eva finds an exit as the androids continue the chase, determined to arrest and kill her. They arrive at the security fence surrounding the compound. Jack, who has been waiting there, activates an Electromagnetic Pulse Bomb to deactivate the fence and Androids, saving Eva.
