This documentary is a must see for black women and girls of all ages and shades. It was authentic and made the viewer explore deep-rooted insecurities related to skin tones. What an excellent teaching/awareness moment for black women and girls!!!

So very proud of Dr. Chris Anne Rodgers Arthur, (Dillard University graduate, former Meharry Medical College AND Jackson State University professor) will appeared in this documentary.
This beautiful woman has given me such a resounding appreciation for all that I am! She most definitely instilled in me a deep sense of respect and gratefulness for my rich, dark, beautiful skin!
I believe that her ability to bolster confidence and self love will be seen as this documentary shines a light on how a gift as precious as dark skin came to be unappreciated...and how many, deeply melanated women came to again love their beautiful sun-kissed skin! Very well made!
