When Monk's half-brother Jack shows up at his door, he's less than thrilled, especially after learning that Jack has just escaped from prison and is accused of killing a very popular female employee while making his escape.

Steve Zahn is Adrian's newly found half-brother who escaped prison and is accused of killing a woman while on the run. He turns up at Adrian's house seeking his aid. Zahn is very funny and the situations between him and Monk are wonderfully comic as Adrian tries to deal with Zahn and his outrageous shenanigans.—lemoviecritic@yahoo.com

A convict escapes from prison and he goes to Monk. He reveals that he is Jack Monk Jr., his half-brother. It seems that when Jack escaped a woman was killed and Jack is the one who is believed to have killed her. But Jack tells Adrian that he didn't kill her. Monk doesn't want to have anything to do with him. But when Jack's mother begs him to help Jack, he does. He takes Jack with him and introduces him as his pen pal. While Monk learns that Jack is telling the truth about the murder, he learns that Jack is a pathological liar and that he has an ulterior motive for wanting Monk to clear him of the murder charges.—rcs0411@yahoo.com
