The only shared credit of actors
Vince Edwards and
Burt Ward, both of whom had been married to actress
Kathy Kersh, in each case starting at about the time she guest starred on each of their shows, respectively in the episode of
Ben Casey (1961) titled
Three Li'l Lambs (1965) (which Edwards had directed) and the two-parter of
Batman (1966) comprising
The Impractical Joker (1966) and
The Joker's Provokers (1966). Both of those stars' shows were among the ABC series receiving tributes on this special. When Kersh was married to Edwards, the couple had attended
The 37th Annual Academy Awards (1965) where Edwards and medical drama rival
Richard Chamberlain (TV's
Dr. Kildare (1961)) presented the Best Film Editing Award to
Mary Poppins (1964), whereas in another
Julie Andrews movie from that same year,
The Americanization of Emily (1964), Kersh had played the role billed as "3rd Nameless Broad."
