Allura's flying-lesson with Lance nearly ends in disaster with none of the others able to help her, but a crash is prevented the tractor-beam of a ship whose smug occupant introduces himself as Prince Bokar of Senak. Allura is too independent to answer his proposal to her but is taken with the stranger, but Lance takes an immediate dislike to him. When a group of snakes first attack Lance then the other three when they try to go to him, the Voltron Force suspects Bokar though the other inhabitants of the castle suggest he pilot the Blue Lion. It isn't until Lance sees a snake moving in his sleeve that they realize he is some kind of enemy, but he takes Allura hostage and prepares to fly the Blue Lion to Doom, capturing her for Zarkon and making it so Voltron cannot be formed.
