Negligence.

I always remember the day my big bro told me that Owen Hart had died. It was the day after and I couldn't believe it as I was too young but still realised then that I'd never get to watch this unbelievable athlete who done things in ring I'd never seen before.

I'm fully supportive in the family's views that he shouldn't be put in "The Hall Of Fame" as their point is 100%.

An absolute legend in my opinion and there's so many WWE athletes nowadays who must have believed in their selves when watching him.

A true star.

Warning: Spoilers
I grew up on Wrestlemania from the 80s, being captivated by the very first one at Madison Square Garden, but unfortunately WWF (later WWE) kind of moved away from my radar approaching the millennium. The death of Owen Hart was very tragic and could have been avoided if more basic precautions had been taken.

Dr Martha Hart, the stoic widow of Owen, provides valuable insights into the untimely death of her husband, the inquiry and lawsuit against Vince McMahon.

Owen's son Oje is a human rights lawyer and his daughter is a journalist, and Martha has set up a foundation in Owen's name to help homeless people.

I feel like they cut out too much information
No disrespect to Brian Pillman but if he got two episodes, Owen Hart should had had two episodes about him.

They kinda flashed through his early days really fast and didn't spend too much time on his feud with his brother and that stuff.

I know it is about his death but they should had focused more on the WCW vs WWF Monday Night Wars more, as well as interview more people. Dilo Brown and Godfather are cool but they barely say anything in this.

It is just way too short I feel and a lot of information is quickly passed by.

Anyways Respect to Owen Hart.

7/10.

Missing many facts

Lots of it is pretty vague and they avoid answering most questions. Owen Hart fell to his death because his harness somehow didn't work. Yet we are not told what happened or why he fell. We are not told why a big company failed the security check. And later his wife sues the wrestling company and claims she didn't do it for the money and wanted to go to court yet they settled anyhow? What happened? Why not interview other people? Also, she claims that his family went against her and attacked her lawsuit. But keep in mind she removed his image from the wrestling company and forbade them from putting him into hall of fame. So you can understand why they are so bitter. A guy worked his whole life to become a wrestler. Something that is extremely hard to archive in life. And he became one of the best wrestlers. And then after he dies the wife refuses the company to use his videos or fights or promote him. Of course many wrestling fans are bitter about this. He is now a forgotten wrestler. Obviously his family are not happy about this. And wrestling fans who like him are very unhappy too even though they of course 100% blame the company for his death. Him being forgotten also lets the company off the hook in many ways.

Overall I feel like the documentary doesn't explain what happened. And unfortunately it only takes the side of the wife. I support her in her monetary lawsuit for sure. But I don't support her fight to have Owen Hart be forgotten as a wrestler. His brother meanwhile still works for the company and is a great legend. You can access his videos and fights easily. This is how it should be. He dislikes the company as it's evil and brutal. But he still gains something from them and gets by on the paychecks from them. Now an older injured man married to a young attractive woman. Obviously without the image he would just be a broken man with no income. That's not better for him or anyone else.
