Series four's title sequence featured an instrumental version of the "Introducing Little and Large" song, and a revolving cube that varied between the new logo and images of Syd and Eddie. This new sequence was retained for the fifth series.
The ratings for the fourth series of Little and Large fell quite dramatically, with none of the episodes making the BBC1 Top 10. In some weeks, the viewing figures needed to enter the BBC1 Top 10 were as low as 8.95 million.
Syd and Eddie claim to live in Wilsden in the CB Radio sketch.
Eddie Large often contributed additional material under his real name of E.H. McGinnis. In this opening episode he wrote the "Orville" dialogue sequence, and the sketch with Syd as a new superhero for the show: Lazerbeam Little.
In creating a Little and Large show, sometimes writers would be commissioned by the BBC but their sketches unused. However, they would still have to be paid as commissioned, even if their material didn't get filmed for the show. Writers Mike Radford and Peter Hickey were both paid for this episode, even though neither of them had a sketch in the finished programme.
