Bear joins a group of natives in a blow gun hunt in the Panamanian rain forest and manages to bag an iguana himself. Then, as he climbs into the mountains, he demonstrates some beneficial plants and a fishing technique.

On the Caribbean coast, Bear had another Panamanian adventure. The jungle tribe of Embera are utter specialists in survival, dealing with both wildlife and humans, from conquistadors to modern pirates. A young chief, his father and son teach bear the use of bows and blowpipes with frog poison darts. Bear sets out into the dense jungle and marshland, which pose challenges but also provides several answers like cures, bug-repellent and building materials to bows for fishing.—KGF Vissers
