When the Turkish Airlines Flight 981 takes off, the weather is clear and sunny and the sky is cloudless in the external photography. In the shots inside the cockpit, however, the weather radar is shown with a large red plume in the center of the display - which means that, at the same time, they are flying through torrential rain or a heavy storm.
The co-pilot announces v1, then says rotate. V1 is the last speed at which takeoff can be aborted, a point of no return if you will. V1 is well below the speed needed to rotate and any attempt to do so would fail. Vr is the speed at which the plane can rotate and lift into the sky. The correct call would be "vr, rotate."

When the Turkish Airlines' aircraft overhead cockpit panel is shown, it is an analog panel, correct for the year 1974. However, the 1972 American Airlines DC-10's overhead cockpit panel is the semi-digital one from late 80's DC-10 or 90's MD-11 (or the MD-10 conversion).
The DC-10 taking off from Detroit in 1972 has a very clear marking "MD-11 Luxury Liner" near the nose. MD-11s entered service almost two decades later.
