Late in Warner's first NFL game, Marchall Faulk catches a pass and a ground-level shot shows him tackled on the Ravens' 20-yard line. However, the next shot, from an overhead angle, shows Faulk on his hands and knees a good two yards farther on.
When Warner is called into Martz office before being given the starting QB job, Kurt walks in and leaves the door open. When leaving he opens the door, which should still be open (there is no door closer on the door)
The UNI football game was shown outdoors. At the time Warner played there, the games were played inside the UNI Dome.
The film refers to arena football at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Wells Fargo didn't exist then. It would have been Veterans Memorial Auditorium.
The buildings in the background of the football field while Warner is playing in college, besides the fact that you wouldn't be able to see them because Warner would be playing football indoors, the buildings do not match up with any of the buildings nearby the UNI Dome. The buildings would be more spaced apart. In addition one of the buildings that you would be able to see would be the Schindler Education Center, and its shape doesn't look like any of the buildings in the background.
The credits at the end of the movie show the credit for the Financial Controller misspelled as "Contoller.'
Kurt Warner wore 12 for the Packers, not 13.
The establishing shot of St. Louis is very clearly not from 1999, most obviously emphasized by the overhead shot which features a completed Busch Stadium III. At that time, Busch Memorial Stadium was still standing in its spot, and Busch Stadium III hadn't even been approved for construction.
A shot of Lambeau Field showed a 100-year celebration banner for the team, but they did not have their 100th season until 2018, long after the movie's time frame.
Many of the characters spoke in a southern accent. Iowan's don't talk like that. They are distinctively Midwestern.
The film showed a HyVee grocery store logo. It was not the logo used in Warner's time. The logo shown was adopted by the company in 2021.
The end credits stated that Warner started in the Super Bowl in 2001 for the Rams and 2009 for the Cardinals. 2001 was the season the Rams returned to the game, but 2009 was the actual year and not the season. The two seasons were 2001 and 2008, but the two games took place in 2002 and 2009.
In a college bar scene during the first 10 minutes, the Tim McGraw song "I Like It, I Love It" plays on the loudspeaker. Kurt Warner graduated from college in 1993, but the song wasn't released until the summer of 1995.
When Warner went to the bar and saw Brenda for the first time. The film said the time was 1992. They were line dancing to "Wink' by Neal McCoy, which wasn't released until 1994.
Toward the end Kurt Warner's debut NFL game against the Ravens, a fan in the crowd is wearing a replica #13 "Kurt Warner" jersey. Puma did not manufacture a replica Kurt Warner jersey until later in the season.
Fields full of wind turbines are briefly shown, in an era before mass fields of turbines were common.
The UNI Dome (which Warner should've been playing in to begin with) is located on a hill, a decently sized hill. It sits above the buildings nearby. But it's very obvious in the movie that the football field is around the same level as the buildings nearby. It makes it obvious that it is not the UNI campus.
