- Five-0 investigates several murders in the order and MOs of an unpublished manuscript for the last Deerdie Naismith novel by Maureen Townsend. Five-0 is assisted by academic Maureen Townsend expert Suzane Ridge, who acquired the manuscript from the family and plans to present at at a conference at its centennial, waving a warning to postpone. After inspecting a pen owned by Ridge, McGarrett finds a tracker inside it and the team digs into an event in Minneapolis where Ridge got the pen from Maureen Townsend fan, Colin Hansen, who turns out the third victim, and McGarrett and Danny save Ridge from becoming the fourth victim submerged in her hotel bathtub. Junior returns from his duty abroad and goes all the way with Tani. They assist Harry Langford, who earned a fortune writing a spy novel, after his public actor Michael Blanton, mistaken for his author alter-ego Gabe, is kidnapped. The kidnappers demand to transfer Langdon's 10 million dollars to their account in the Cayman Islands. They are tracked down and the money changes hands thrice. Adam expresses worry to Kenji after Endo and Haru go missing. Kenji just replies that they were both sent on a plane back to Japan. While Adam discovers that Kenji had both killed, masked henchmen prepare to enter his apartment complex.—KGF Vissers
