In the wake of a series of bombings and cyberattacks in Stockholm, agent Carl Hamilton soon finds himself on a life-threatening mission against an invisible enemy with traces leading to Russian, Swedish and US intelligence forces.
A young Romanian woman named Lidia is lured to Sweden with promises of a better life, but is instead forced into prostitution. In search of revenge, her fate is interwoven with police officer Ewert Grens who chases a dangerous criminal.
Economics reporter Bea has promised herself not to mix jobs and private life, but fails to defend herself when she falls in love with the charming bank director Peder. Suddenly she gets a tip that his bank is hiding big problems.
The plot revolves around an attempt to disable all the financial systems in the Western world by idealists who believe that it will change the world and correct its imbalances, notably the poverty in Africa.
Swedes makes great films and series - when I found this one, it was an easy pick. But as stated by others, after two episodes we stopped watching. It just didn't keep up with expected level of quality. Just watch yourself, though, if the story keeps you going, great!
