A panel truck is hijacked for the valuable paintings it's carrying. The truck driver recovers after being knocked out and flees in the thieves' car. The thieves then flag down a pickup truck, load a few select paintings on it and take off, later killing the driver. The mastermind behind the theft had the plan to steal the paintings and then ransom them for half a million dollars to the wealthy owner of the paintings. It's a toss up who's dumber - the thugs who stole the paintings or the mastermind behind the theft. Even if the heist hadn't gone so wrong, it would have been pretty easy for the cops to have later figured out who the culprit behind the theft was. But Matthews does use an interesting strategy to flush the criminals out. A lesser episode but still sufficiently entertaining.
