Charlie's Life on the Line
Hitchcoc10 May 2021
Charlie suffers from modest PTSD after nearly being killed by people he is analyzing when a driven reporter is kidnapped. This causes him to stumble with his math and become edgy and angry. Don begins to second guess using him. There is a hint that something romantic might be in the offing.

The missing reporter

Warning: Spoilers
Susan Floyd, an investigating reporter for a Los Angeles television station comes to the scene where the FBI is working. She realizes it is a good opportunity to have Charlie tell her what he knows. He tries to be as succinct as possible, but what transpires after his brother Don looks at the segment, is something Charlie did not expect. Don asks him to please do not interfere with ongoing investigations.

When Susan Floyd is reported missing, the FBI comes into action to try locate her. The agents suspect she has been the target of foul play. Later on, Charlie, who is clearly upset by his brother's caustic words, decides to go to his office to see if he can work his way into helping find Susan.

Paperwork found in Susan's place is puzzling to the agents. The documents show numbers that seem have no connection to anything. The agents get lucky when they get to one man that has been associated with a real estate developer who has a long list of violations. This man is now merchandising a site. Charlie and Amita realize the numbers found in Susan Floyd's possession are in reality connected with the area where the real estate man is trying to build his new project by pushing away people using scare tactics. Eventually Susan Floyd is found thanks to the reasoning of the team.

Craig Ross directed the episode that Andrew Dettman, a member of the creative minds behind the series, wrote. David Krumholtz, who plays Charlie, has some good opportunities to show his take on Charlie, including a fear by almost being killed.
