Extremely good!!!! One "hell" of a movie!
JuanitaHobbs15 August 2023
This was a B movie with a lower budget, but, it actually made up for that with the nostalgic 80's feel, quirky one liners and plot! Timelines were a bit confusing at first but then got easier to follow. Comedy, suspense, action, romance, drama.. what more could you ask for ? I thought it was great and loved the characters. If you're a little weary of big Hollywood preaching to you about social justice and instead just want a fun story that isn't afraid to make fun of everyone and take you on one HELL of a ride while doing it, then this one's for you. It's a comedy camouflaged as a horror but deep down is a romance that has it's heart beating between two worlds, racing against Satan's clock, before it's all too late. Would recommend and will watch again!

In the mood for a great indie 80's style horror comedy?

Warning: Spoilers
Just watched, "What I Meant To Say Was...", so it's still fresh on my brain. I sat down in the mood for a horror movie and wasn't sure what to watch and came across this. This story starts out a little different.

-SPOILER ALERT - Instead of the protagonist of the film surviving to the end, like most tales, our hero of this movie dies almost immediately and that's where this story really begins. In the midst of being caught in a hellish surrounding, this is where the horror (which doesn't even last long) takes a turn into comedy and romance. When Michael realizes he is dead and stuck in hell, therefor, now separated from the girl he loves, Lana. Also realizing that the last text he sent was unfinished, which left a misunderstanding after his sudden death. This is where the story starts and takes us on mini adventures of Michael, his kooky demon buddy Chang and a celestial woman, who is only temporarily damned, that can take them along with her through what they call "hell realms" to try and help Micheal finish his last unsent text message. It actually has a satisfying ending too as Michael impossibly completes his task by finishing the text. I loved this one. Like I said, I started out expecting a horror but got much more than I was expecting. You get a comedy and a great romance as well! Definitely recommend! I also love that it's over the top and not totally PC, kind of like Family Guy in that they joke about everything and everyone. Great movie!

SHERI DAVIS.....HOT DAMNNNN!!!!
Deliboy183214 August 2023
Oh boy, where do I start?. Ok the films POSTER. MOST EXCELLENTLY AWESOME ARTWORK . Now upon starting this film my immediate impression that it's low budget. But director GARY WHORLEY did the best with a shoe string budget. There is some clever camera work and editing . But not in some parts as well. I love how hell is represented with a reddish glow. Now there is no action or violence , but there is a lot of Quirky characters and a lot of quirky dialog. I started to go into nap mode, BUT THEN IT ALL CHANGED!!!!!ALONG COMES SHERI DAVIS. Dressed in a sultry silky sexxxyy red dress showing off what dreams are meant for and sporting these evil sexy red pupils ,At this point this movie is a 10!!! But after taking down my tent and stupor, I'm giving it a 6. PLUS what also helped was that during the end credits we get a few celebrity appearances popping up telling us there story's while they are IN HELL (this reminded me of the end credits from SHES HAVING A BABY with celebrities suggesting their names for the baby. But I ..think TROY FROMINS (SAVED BY THE BELL)little HELLPIECE was hilarious . Love that guy. And thanks to SHERI DAVIS for saving us from THE MAIN ROUGES GALLERY of the bar crowds ummm charisma. All in all . Have a few beers maybe an edible and have some fun.

I think I cried at least three times!

My friends Sheri and Gary asked if I'd like to watch their movie and I wholeheartedly agreed. I had no idea that it was going to affect me emotionally. At its heart, it is a moving love story. There were at least three scenes during which I became emotional. I won't spoil any plot details, but the central relationship was sweet and touching. I saw my friend Gary fairly early on, but I kept waiting for Sheri to show up. When she did, boy did she not disappoint. Well worth the wait! Being a music lover as well, I found there to be plenty to appreciate about this movie. And I laughed a lot too. I'm definitely going to show this to my wife.
