This could have been really great!

This had a chance to be "Breaking Bad" good, but focused way too much time on family issues.....If it had gone to the dark side, it had a chance, but chose not to.

Anyway., Eve Myles was great given the script.

Stick with it, but not as good as the previous series

Warning: Spoilers
If you have followed Faith in the previous series, you will be wanting to know where this final one is going. You hope that she will find happiness and everything in the garden will be rosy. Well, you are going to be disappointed.

The first episode makes you wonder what has happened since the last series as this is a very slow burner and extremely frustrating for the viewer. So much so that you almost want to switch off. The case that Faith has taken on, the boy with the brain tumour appears, frankly, a mere excuse of a storyline so that Faith has a reason to go to London. This little excursion simply allows Faith to bring her history into the storyline. This also drops a clanger when her husband questions her business partner about her whereabouts in London and then gives chapter and verse as to where she was and at what times. There is no question as to how Ewan knew this, he had activated the tracking on her phone and knew her every move, so this little annoyance was never discovered.

At last Steve and Faith get together and we are hoping this is going to be Faith's happy ever after. The best thing is that her rotten, stalking scummy little ex gets killed, but by then, the viewer is already believing that Steve is also dead. Sadly for us and Faith, this turns out to be true. No happy ending, Faith leaves but she will always have a piece of Steve as she is pregnant. Great acting by Eve Myles, makes this your better than average drama, certainly the first two series anyway.

Not sure why, this show sends me to sleep

As in previous seasons, Faith's wistful gazes (with accompanying 'appropriate' music) are used to excess. I want to like the programme, but it simply bores me. Predictable writing, decent acting, just not particularly attention grabbing. Maybe me...

Episode 3.1

Faith is going about wearing a big orange overcoat.

This might have been the only interesting about the episode. It was rather slow burn.

The first episode of the third series seemed to be about a show searching for a plot.

It opens with Faith being in a custody battle with her estranged husband Evan.

She seems to be involved in a case that has been ripped from the newspaper headlines. A father wanting his seriously ill boy to be operated on.

Apart from that, only a new character called Rose played by Celia Imrie promised some intrigue for future episodes.

Wow, way too much overacting.

I have had a really hard time with the overacting and overemoting this season. Crazy voice, eyes, facial expressions, antics, etc. The kids should be removed from all caretakers. What was a good show is now scene after scene of lunacy. The "romantic" scenes of everyone seems to have either slept with or hit on Faith are getting trite and as repetitive as the laying on floors and hair flipping.
