- At the apartment, Iris asks Kamilla how she feels. Kamilla says that she feels dizzy. Eva appears in a mirror and welcomes the doppelganger Kamilla to the "team". She warns that she doesn't have much time, and tells them to retrieve her Prismatic Refractor. Eva passes it through the mirror to the duplicates and explains that it's a replica, but her R-CEM rejected it. She believes that it needs the original, and the R-CEM is vital to her plans. Eva tells the doppelgangers that Joseph sold the original to Mercury labs, and they're to find the original and bring it to her. She tells them not to let her down, and the mirror Iris assures her that success is assured.
At STAR Labs, Cisco saws that Eobard is the only one who has built an artificial speed force. Barry figures that they can make one if Eobard does, and Cisco and Caitlin have made a speed gauge to monitor Barry's speed use so he can conserve the residual Speed Force in his body. They tell him not to use any of his superspeed abilities.
As Barry wonders how he'll keep Central City safe, Nash seemingly calls on the monitor for them to let him out. Barry and the others wonder if Eobard has released his control, and they go to check him.
Joe meets with Singh at Jitters and says that he still sifting through the paperwork. All he's found is multiple cover-ups, and figures that that someone in CCPD is a mole for Joe. Singh warns that it's not a job for them, but Joe figures that they can't trust anyone. When he mentions that Barry has seen the files, Singh wonders if Joe is taking it personal and warns that he might be wrong. Joe figures that he isn't.
Barry, Cisco, and Caitlin meet with Nash in his Pipeline cell, who say that he's seen the various dead Wells. Caitlin scans Nash's brainwaves and says that there are multiple brainwaves tangled together. They figure that when the Multiverse collapsed, all of the Wells mentalities were imprinted on Nash's mind. Nash say that he has a neuro-splicer in his bag and asks them to get it. Cisco takes it out and says that they can super-charge it with the EMPT from Nash's gauntlet. Cisco charges it up before Caitlin can stop him, and when they wake up they discover that Eobard has escaped.
Barry realizes that Eobard has gone to the Time Sphere, races to it in the Starchives, and yanks Eobard out. Eobard says that when he gains control of Nash's body and regains his speed, Barry will be the one that was powerless. When Barry vibrates his hand to drive it into Nash's chest, Caitlin and Cisco arrive and Cisco shoots Nash unconscious with a stun gun to knock him out and bring Barry to his senses as his new speed gauge goes into the yellow high-use range.
Back in the workshop, Caitlin asks Barry if he was going to kill Eobard. She tells him that he can't be there because his anger affects it. Barry insists that he take Velocity X, and Caitlin warns him that they have no idea what Velocity X can do to him. She knows that it's hard for Barry but he can't trust himself around Eobard. Barry figures that they can't trust him around Eobard and leaves.
Cecile gets the team's message that they plan to exorcise Eobard from Nash. Cisco figures that they'll use positive tachyons to drive Eobard's negative tachyons from him. He wants Cecile there to use her empathic powers to determine when Eobard is gone.
Earth-719, Eight Years Ago
Nash returns to his tent and discovers that a young girl, Maya, has knocked out his security drone and is searching through his things. Maya points out that Nash has caught the Blood Bloom when no one else has. She asks if he's going to get the treasure out of the bloom, and then throws the Bloom on the floor, breaking it and revealing the treasure inside. Nash stares at it and admits that he's impressed, but says that she broke the rules by giving him something without getting something in returned. He gives Maya his head, and she says that she doesn't have parents. Nash invites her to join him on his myth-0busting expeditions.

The doppelganger Iris and Kamilla go to Mercury, and once their escort leaves, Kamilla uses a piece of equipment to find the Refractor. A villain, Sunshine, drops in and the two doppelganger hide. Sunshine breaks into the vault, and Iris calls in Flash. At STAR Labs, Caitlin tells Barry to stay there while she and Frost handle it, and he reluctantly does so.
Frost enters the lab as Sunshine gets the Refractor. Sunshine uses her powers to turn invisible, then reappears and the two women fight. Flash takes Velocity X and speeds in, but his speed glitches. Sunshine knocks him out, then grabs Frost and blasts her down, reopening Dr. Light's bullet wound. As she says that Frost could have been a killer for Black Hole and prepares to kill her, Joe and his officers arrive and Sunshine disappears.
After taking Frost back to STAR Labs to recover, Barry tells Joe that it's his fault for not staying behind. Joe tells him that he has to be more careful and Barry reluctantly agrees. Iris comes in and says that she and Kamilla have identified Sunshine as Millie Rawlings, an ex-military special ops. She has the meta-ability to bend sunshine, and Joe shows her the Refractor that they recovered. It used to be owned by McCulloch Industries, and Joe says that they don't know why McCulloch is stealing its own territories. He notes that Iris isn't paying to Barry and points Barry out, and the doppelganger goes to him.
Joe says that he's keeping the Refractor on him because he can't trust anyone, and has called in ARGUS. Barry warns that Flash won't be able to do anything if Sunshine comes for the Refractor, and suggests that they let ARGUS take it. Joe tells Iris that he'll worry about the ARGUS transfer and advises Iris to go after Barry, and she does.
Iris finds Barry in the Starchives sitting in the Time Sphere, and says that the man she loves wouldn't stop protecting people or taking down evil metas. Barry warns that he won't be able to stop Eobard, and Iris suggest that Barry can do it like he did before Flash came along. She says that Barry is stuck on having limits, and he just needs to figure out what his are and overcome them. Barry realizes that Sunshine has limits, kisses Iris, and goes to find Joe. "Iris" then calls Kamilla and says that she knows where the Refractor is going and she should get ready to move.
In the tunnel, Eobard confronts Nash in the tunnel. Maya calls for help, and Eobard says that when Maya died getting the Sonic Emitter He invites Nash to leave the memory, but Nash insists that it wasn't his fault. Eobard tells him that it was all Nash's fault, and Nash insists that it was Maya's fault, not his.
Cisco wonders why Eobard's negative tachyons aren't dissolving, and Cecile says that all she feels is Eobard's fear and shame. Eobard takes over and vibrates free of the restraints, and Cisco puts a pair of mega-negators on him. After a moment, Eobard passes out and Cisco warns Cecile that if Eobard reconnects to the Speed Force, they lose Nash and Reverse-Flash is reborn.
At the police station, Joe gets word from Korber that ARGUS should be there any minute. After she leaves, Singh comes in and says that he's there to oversee the transfer. He closes the shutters and tells Joe that Joseph has someone on the inside and they need to investigate it themselves. Joe gives him the Refractor, and ARGUS arrives outside at the loading dock. Once they leave, Sunshine turns invisible, having overheard everything.
When Joe and Singh arrive at the loading dock, Sunshine takes out the Argus guards. Joe She knocks Singh out next, then disarms Joe. Barry comes in and Joe throws the R3efractor to him. Barry runs through the station and locks himself in his lab. Sunshine burns through the bolt and goes inside, and Barry closes all of the shutters. Joe comes in and closes the door behind her and draws her gun, and Sunshine realizes that she's powerless. More policemen arrive using infrared sites, and Barry steps out and tells Sunshine that without access to sunshine, she's just an ordinary thief.
After handcuffing Sunshine and leading her way, Joe and Barry meet with Singh. He suggests that Sunshine was the mole because of her invisibility, and Joe and Singh leave after Barry says that he has something to do.
That night, Cisco tells Cecile that Eobard's negative tachyons are proliferating faster than he can destroy them with the positive tachyons, and it's just a matter of time until Eobard takes over Nash's body and traps all of the Wells in his psych. As Cisco prepares to destroy Nash's gadgets to stop Eobard from taking them, they find a photograph of Nash and Maya and realize that she looks like a young Allegra. Cecile realizes that Nash is feeling parental concern and grief, and figures that Nash is caught in a loop made out of negativity. Maya died, and they figure that Eobard is holding Nash with the memory of Maya' death.
Barry comes in with the MAD 2.0, and says that they will use it to get into Nash's mind and help him force Eobard out of his mind. They use the device and Cecile acts as a conduit, and Barry and Cisco themselves in the tunnel where Eobard is tormenting Nash. Barry tells Eobard that it's time for him to go, and Cisco goes to Nash. Nash is astonished that Cisco came for him, and Cisco tells him that he has to face what he's afraid of. Meanwhile, Eobard tells Barry that he's there to witness the deaths of those he loves but can't save. He boasts that soon he will be freed, and feeding on Nash's grief to power himself.

Cisco tells Nash that he watched Cynthia die and he couldn't avoid the grief. He tells Nash that he can't heal if he avoids the grief.
Barry tells Eobard that he and Nash get their strength from their emotions to overcome anything, including Eobard. He says that he and Nash don't have limits but metas do. Meanwhile, Cisco promises Nash that he'll be there for him after he faces his grief. Nash goes into the cave and Barry refuses to let Eobard pass.

Meanwhile, Barry realizes that Eobard is weakening and says that he can't feed off of Nash now that Nash is confronting his pain. Nash wakes up and Cisco says that he's there for him, Crying, Nash says that it was all his fault.
Later, Cisco scans the planet with the STAR satellite and confirms that there is no sign of Eobard's negative tachyons. They figure that he's formless but not dead, and Barry says that they'll be ready if Eobard comes back. He says that he has someone to check on.
The next day, Cisco asks Nash what it was like. Nash says that he couldn't do anything, and Cisco tells him that he's free of Eobard. The other Wells' brainwaves are now entangled with Nash's, and he realizes that he's going to keep seeing and hearing them. Nash thanks Cisco for his help and says that he'll see him around. Cisco gives him the photo with Maya, and Nash takes it and says that Maya was the best discovery he ever made. He admits that Maya was like a daughter to him, and Cisco notes that Nash helped Allegra with his powers.
