What a waste if time. 1 1/2 hours and they never found the ship. At the end they mention they came back 3 years later and then found it. They show a picture of it but looks phony, more like a cgi image. If they found it I think they could have really shown what the wreck looked lije.

The expedition in 2022 March which found the Endurance is not shown in this show. There's a decent enough bunch of the actual Shackleton story recounted, but most of the episode concerns an expedition 2 years ago which lost their autonomously Operated vehicle.
As the other of you answers this episode ends withough it ends with a 15 second bad CGI of the ship on the ocean floor not showing any of the recently made 4K video of the real discovery.

Oh dear, this is exactly the reason why I do not watch documentaries lately, they end up being a field trip mary-go-around waste of time. Even cartoon movies knows how to deliver. They went all the way over there, risking their lives, to launch multi-million dollars instruments that'll do absolutely nothing. The hunt for Shackleton turn to be the hunt for an state of the art submarine ROV that was safe and sound until it hit the water so long goodbye. But they got a bigger cube one, the abysmal beast .... that one broke down too. No spare parts or even an explanation. They are not the unlucky ones, I was, that fall for this made believe play. Not exactly the right way to honor Shackleton' legacy.
