- The girls go to Alaska to visit the town where Holly spent her childhood.
- The girls are going to Alaska to see where Holly lived from when she was 2 years old to 12 years old. The four-day trip is the longest Holly and Hef have been apart in years. Bridget and Kendra are enthusiastic about the trip, although Kendra is apprehensive about the float plane they will need to take to get to Holly's hometown. When the girls arrive in Alaska, they are greeted by Holly's parents, who now live in Oregon but who have come to spend part of the trip with them. The group spends the first part of the trip in Ketchikan, the nearest city to Holly's hometown of Craig. They take a wildlife tour but don't see the whales or bears they had expected to see. On the third day of the trip, Holly's parents leave and the girls take a float plane to Craig. Kendra's fears come true as the plane's engines cut out, forcing them to make an emergency landing and board a second plane to complete the flight. They finally arrive in Craig, and Holly shows Bridget and Kendra around the small town. They all appreciate the natural beauty, but the town has changed somewhat and Holly's old house no longer exists. As they leave Craig, Kendra faces her fears and joins the others on a float plane for the trip back, but she still wishes they could have taken a boat instead.—Anonymous
