Paula writes to the Three Wise Men for her Christmas wishes, but when told she should write to Father Christmas as well, she espies and follows him into the fireplace to deliver her letter, thereby coming across a familiar symbol. As Elsa recovers from the run-in with her brother, electrical problems bring her infidelity to Héctor's attention, which leads to a desperate decision. For the most part, the gang reveals plans to not return after the break. As the students (all but Marcos, Paula and Miguel) empty out the school to join their families for Christmas, Fermín sets out to complete his mission, but all run into problems from a winter storm, waylaying Fermín, bringing a threat of harm to Maria, producing a hero among the kids, and indicating a dangerous traitor among the staff.
