So here is the first episode of Tanner '88. I think I first saw Tanner '88 back in 2004 or so, and it was a pleasure to watch after having heard so much about it.
Being a huge fan of Garry Trudeau's Doonesbury, I was very interested in Tanner '88, which was written by Trudeau. Anyway, Michael Murphy, famous for being in Manhattan about a decade earlier, plays Jack Tanner, and his daughter is played by Cynthia Nixon. Jack Tanner launches his long shot presidential campaign, and he assembles a fledgling, yet devoted team to gain some headway in the presidential primary to get support for his campaign.
