Two youngsters of the Williamson clan torment their grandfather. Then they go outside to play badminton. The shuttlecock goes over the fence to the back yard where the neighbor and his wife are planting rose bushes. When the boys break through the fence, everyone gets involved in the mayhem.
The director was David Aylott. He was born in London in 1885. He wrote his first scenario in 1906 and wrote, directed and acted in at least 200 shorts and features from 1909 through 1921. Then he took a few years off -- apparently to start an artificial eyelash business with his brother. He returned to directing in 1929 and managed about 90 short subjects that year. I would guess he was exhausted, because he retired from the movies. The rest must have done him some good, because he lived until 1969.
