Rita buys Alf a second-hand jacket, and when he notices it is covered in medals he uses it to try to gain all sorts of favours under false pretences. He also gets a visit from canvassing politicians.
Rita buys Alf a jacket with medals sewn onto the breast pocket so he uses it to pretend that he is a disabled war veteran and gain a front row seat in Else's wheelchair at the football match. Unfortunately his dance of triumph when his team wins lets him down and later he gets involved in a row with a visiting Labour candidate after Rita has put a Vote Labour poster in the window.—don @ minifie-1
