All that worldwide debate about the alleged racism in Celebrity Big Brother with Shilpa Shetty and Jade Goody meant there wouldn't be another series till the next year. So instead they created this revolutionary concept, that celebrities could hijack the house (by intercom, or some actually going in) and become Big Brother for the day. Also, a difference to this series was that all housemates put into the house are not ordinary, they were all between 18-21 years of age and talented for whatever reasons, but still all playing for £50,000. There is no way to say whether there is going to be another series, but the housemates in it included: Amy (a conceptual artist, technically just a student), Anthony (an international boxer), Calista (a classical musician), Emilia (a professional circus performer, and contortionist), with her brother Victor (also circus performer), Jade (a professional beauty queen), Jay (a fashion designer), Latoya (a professional dancer), Liam (registered director of a website services company called OxyUK Technologies Limited), Nathan (R&B singer and songwriter), and winner, John (a politician). It was presented by Dermot O'Leary (instead of Davina McCall, because he would be busy during th regular show because he presents The X Factor), celebrity hijackers in the series included: comedian and Little Britain star Matt Lucas, Ex-footballer and TV presenter Ian Wright, actor Alan Cumming, singer and TV presenter Kelly Osbourne, comedian/actor and ex-Big Brother's Big Mouth presenter Russell Brand, horse racing pundit and Celeb BB 2005 housemate John McCririck, media personality Janet Street Porter, DJ act Trash Pussies (Peaches Geldof, daughter of Sir Bob, and friend Fifi Brown), ex-SAS sergeant Andy McNab, BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles, Art historian Brian Sewell, comedienne Joan Rivers, Bo' Selecta! star Leigh Francis alias Keith Lemon and rubber faced Craig David, TV presenter and musical star Denise Van Outen, BBC Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills, Hollyoaks' McQueen Sisters actresses (Claire Cooper, Jennifer Metcalfe, Gemma Merna), comedians and Big Brother's Big Mouth hosts Mathew Horne and James Corden, actor Mackenzie Crook (best known in The Office and Pirates of the Caribbean), All Saints members Nicole Appleton and Melanie Blatt, comedienne and sitcom star Roseanne Barr, comedian and TV presenter Jimmy Carr, music manager Malcolm McLaren; TV presenter, DJ and Big Brother 3 winner Kate Lawler, and pop band the Sugababes (Keisha Buchanan, Amelle Berrabah, Heidi Range). Just as much fun as the regular and celebrity shows put together, I hope to see another series. Very good!
