" . . . with a beer and a smoke and a buzz-cut ripped guy." This short is less a tangerine-skied fantasy, and more a bad trip for any viewer NOT related to the cast and crew. Looking back from the perspective of a decade or two, most college grads readily would admit they turned in a lot of term papers full of b.s. (some as a result of all-nighters under the influence). That's what this short looks like. Fortunately, the publishing industry works differently than how the movie biz does. If your uncle is a mid-level editor working on, say, the next attempt to top GOODBYE, COLUMBUS, he does NOT have the power to toss your sophomoric term paper into the appendix of said book. Nor does your aunt have the authority to append your pedantic ramblings onto the Kindle version of TWILIGHT SAGA: BOOK FIVE. However, judging by the quality of this lifeless and diffuse apparent student effort (the DVD box does not tell us if it received a "C-" or "D+"), if any film tyro--no matter how untalented--knows the right mid-level direct-to-video functionary, their refrigerator crayon drawing equivalent will be foisted upon the paying public (presumably with "eyes wide shut").
