Karthik is not in form here . He was past his prime them . Hs sagging cheeks , conspicuous wig , cliched mannerisms as a bumbling lover boy are routine . The heroine Malavika is fresh looking and chirpy . Monal has to appear in skimpy costumes ( even during scenes of traditional family rituals ) and dance and prance around she does it well .
Karthik and Malavika are lovers . Her father Manivannan is against the idea of love due to his own sad past . So both decide to break this news to him slowly .
They send Vivek's photo saying he is her lover and understandably Manivannan sends goons to kill him. Karthik's father is Nizhalgal Ravi . Both families start interacting after a chance meeting near a temple . OF course they are not aware of this relation between Karthik and Malavika .
Utter confusion , twists , misunderstandings abound between the two families. Shot in picturesque Ooty in colourful costumes , green lush locales, it has nice songs. Vivek getting hit and slapped very often is very cliched . Mannivannan's speech is not very coherent and is difficult to comprehend in some scenes . Leave your brains outside , don't look for logic and you will enjoy this movie .
