Terrible!
Masshole8613 April 2010
Jesus, what happens when an Indie director rips off the plot to "I am Legend", and adds one more person, and puts in zombies? You get "2", from "Director" Andy Davis. This is a cross between a student art film and youtube video.

I'd hate to say it, but the guys who did "Date Movie" make a better, overall product than this guy. That is saying something, because the "Date Movie" guys, are terrible.

If you want a good, end of world type movie, watch the campy "I am Omega". Better bang for your buck. Heck, even Charleston Heston's "Omega Man" is infinitely better.

Don't waste your time. 1(since I can't give 0) out of 10

Watch Shane Dawson's "Zombiez" on youtube, you'll be happier with that.

Zombies in my backyard
srobin0400511 October 2014
A little biased, first, because I live in Biddeford, just a few miles from where it was filmed and, second, I know Olin (Producer).

I have always loved these types of films, especially the low budget ones, and this is low budget. With the limited budget and constraints that Olin and the crew worked with, this really came out well. It is predictable, but so are some of the best zombie films, and the acting was not quite up to snuff, but again, this is why I love these films. They are simple, with a twist and I could relate to the location.

Like most of these films, the plot was sketchy and we don't really know what is going on, but again, even the best zombie movies are meant to leave you guessing about what is going on and how did it get this way.

I wanted more from this film, like, well, more zombies. I thought they did a good job with the zombies, but not enough of them and could have done a little better with some of the makeup, though they were relentless, and that is the true quality of a zombie. It would have benefited from more survival techniques and a vision of how to avoid the horror (like getting out of town). I also wanted a different ending. I felt they ran out of time, money and ideas and were just looking for a way to wrap things up.

Like all zombie movies, it was an even lower budget version of the original (Night of the Living Dead) and what all zombie movies have aspired to. One of the other reviews tries to compares "2" to "I am Legend", but this is a stretch, as "2" is more homegrown and didn't have a billion dollar budget.

I liked it and appreciate the simple approach to a complex apocalypse scenario.

A great low budget zombie flick!!!
drrock2123 April 2008
I've seen this movie twice and it's great! I've seen a lot of shitty low budget zombie movies...hell I've seen a lot of shitty big budget zombie movies, but this one is a lot different. It has the same feel of Vincent Price's Last Man On Earth. At first I was skeptical, because as a fan of low/no budget horror, the zombie movies have always been really bad; but "2" is different, it feels and looks like a bigger budget movie even for it's modest budget. It's more character driven then a lot of low budget movies. This flick doesn't just have to rely on loads of gore and nudity like a lot of the crap I've seen. It'll probably be hard to find this movie, but if you're near a screening or can get your hands on a copy of it, watch this movie! You won't be disappointed.
