The mask was originally a welding helmet, but was changed when Random Acts of Violence was released in 2019. The filmmakers settled on a leprechaun mask.
Some sequences were poorly dubbed in post-production as a reference to Giallo films. Other Giallo references include the killer using a straight razor and sporting zipper gloves.
Made in honor of obscure, micro-budget slashers of the 1980's including The Slayer, Girls Nite Out, Blood Rage, and The Mutilator. Several scenes were purposely done in a single take while grain and scratches were added in post production to complete the look.
