Don't they ever change their clothes?!
rick-7598916 January 2022
These two never seem to sweat. Was watching the episode of them following leads about a ghost ship in the desert. Jokingly I said to a friend watching with me, I've seen this show before and these two always have the same clothes on! In the episode we were watching after hiking for miles under the "115" degree sun, they now are digging in the sand for hours with no luck. So they move on to another location, all the while looking amazing. Poor Emillano, he only has one pair of pants. Granted they are always clean but between the two of them wardrobe can't find them any other outfits? Never breaking a sweat the makeup artist has to be constantly just off screen. And they never drink a drop of water traveling through anywhere. With pristine clothes and gear they are always just a commercial away from what they need to find. Entertaining show with good eye candy.

Somewhat entertaining but sketchy "Science" at best
timtait18 December 2019
I'm a sucker for these kinds of shows but it seems like they're just trying to quickly cash in on the trend. They usually don't bother to actual follow anything they find to it's conclusion, declaring things "solved" w/o actual proof. For example has anyone done any ground truthing on that alleged pyramid? Surely not that hard to do.

They really lost me in the Templar episode - a New England farmer's stone wall must be a Templar fortress??? Dear god there isn't an acre here that doesn't have them, those Templars sure were busy. I can't believe *they* believed that, which makes me think it's more than just bad investigation, it's a work of fiction on their part.

Don't bother

The worst, although the title is perfect. Nothing is explained nor explored. I figure these two must be related to some high ranking executive at The Science Channel. Certainly not up to expectations.

Repackaged crap
jmwc-4060723 December 2019
Usually i find these shows brainless fun, but this isn't even that. A nobody with zero credentials repackages the same nonsense that's been done dozens of times. Get some talent, some education, and some new places / wild ideas or get off my TV.

Hideous trash.

Warning: Spoilers
Rehashing old (and sometimes disproven) information as 'new' revelations is only one of the things this show is guilty of. The writing is terrible, and the hosts don't have the charisma to make up for it. The Egypt episode is particularly bad and little more than narrative driven reframing. They should also take a minute to learn how to pronounce the names of the people and places they're talking about.

Anyone with a real interest in history should avoid this utter garbage.

These two dudes are idiots. Laughably so.
gregoryhughes-9236618 June 2022
I thought this was a comedy, a riff on exploring reality shows. It's not. These idiots act like they are the first to see everything. Even though most of this stuff are tourist locations with signs in the background. They have zero historical knowledge.

Excellent show. Very informative.

A great show. Lots of good, accurate findings. Where other shows fail to find or prove anything, these guys always find and prove the existence of subjects that where once only to be legendary. Lots of science and history. Excellent series.

Not Going To Make It
matusd-7405531 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
If these two guys are happy with there work good for them. If they can make a career out of putting this stuff out good for them bad for those who think they are learning something. I have watched all of the ones till the Fountain of Youth episode. Do you guys really think those silly beads where hand delivered to all those locations by the Spanish? Why do you even try to sell us on that stuff? Don't those guys have friends to clean these things up. Did you guys even think that the Natives would trade those beads after possibly killing off every Spaniard and taking the beads. I got to stop now, to wound over a bad show

Brazen lying
haunted-26 February 2021
This is a show about two guys making stuff up in a desperate attempt to tell a story. It's belongs firmly in the "fiction" category, and bad fiction at that.

You will have less knowledge after you watch.

Unexplained and Unexplored and still Unanswered Questions!
cdeanroane10 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This Science Channel show is much like the the ones on the Discovery Channel. This show like the Discovery Channel Call of the Wild, has two host,Justin Fornal and Emiliano Ruprah who travel to multiple location during each show in search of finding lost historical objects from an English ship loaded with Spanish gold that is suppose to be lost and buried in a California desert. They also travel in N.America to fine the Lost Dutchman Mine in Arizona. In N. America they go to Canada to see if the some Knights Templar survived and fled to Nova Scotia with their much of their fortune and most sacred treasures saved from their time in Jerusalem. This treasure included the Arc of the Covenant and the Holy Grail. Befriended by the Native Tribe who lived in Nova Scotia this tribe roamed the Atlantic coast from Nova Scotia down to what is now Massachusetts. The pair show what is reported to be the burial site of a Knight Templar buried in MA, a marked stone which leads them to rock foundation and a stone tower reported to have been built before the English ever arrived in N. America with oyster shell mortar like that used in the UK in the Middle ages. This tower arches supposedly resembles the arches of a church Henry Sinclair is said to have worshiped and the host report that Henry Sinclair is said to have been a Knights Templar who fled and came to N. AM. However in another episode the pair start in N. America and go Egypt in search of the Arc of the Covenant. From Egypt they travel to Ethiopia supposedly hot on the trail of the Arc of the Covenant. Which contradicts the Arc was to have been taken from Jerusalem by the Knight Templar to N. Am. One episode they say Meriwether Lewis of Lewis and Clark is said to have been murdered and who they feel were behind the murder and who did the actual killing. In none of the 5 episodes so far have this pair actually found the lost objects they went in search of. So all the unexplained and unexplored objects are still lost and no questions about objects are really answered. To my knowledge no history books have been corrected the death of Meriwether Lewis. He did die in a violent and mysterious death from gunshot wounds to the head and chest. The two wounds and circumstances of his death have fueled a long standing debate over whether he killed himself or was murder. In short this show leaves the view much more confused then before the start of the show.

Does not even deserve one star
osinksia7 January 2021
Yet one more pathetic and sensationalised series of unsubstantiated and ridiculous assumptions clogging up TV channels around the world. Now that I've stopped laughing after the Knight's Templar episode just shown in Australia, I can only conclude that this kind of TV production is targeted at the same people that think Trump was going to make America great again. If you want to understand history with a bit a clarity, learn to read a book. I'm not going to bore you with all the historical bloopers I found in just this one episode, but you lost me at the overton stone (way too well preserved to be from the 14th century) and then the number "184" carved into the ship stone. News flash boys and girls: they would have used latin numerals and not the hindu/arabic numbering system we use today. This is the same sort of revisionist history that makes most Americans convinced that World War 2 started in 1941. Pathetic, disappointing and one more reason why Americans shouldnt be allowed to comment on history prior to Columbus (even though he wasn't the first European to discover America. Maybe the producers of this and similar shows should invest their money in improving education in schools because god knows, if there's anyone out there that believes this steaming pile of manure, you really need a better education. Either that or stick to watching sports and chat shows.

Horrible garbage

Think Al Capone's vault, only worse. You know they aren't going to find anything-and their methods are just crazy.

Fake repackaged crap
pixelator99-205-99819711 February 2023
I have been watching this at bed time to go to sleep. As a sedative I give it 10 stars.

They are not discovering anything- they obviously have it all written and planned ahead of time then do fake discoveries in libraries and fake interviews to pretend they are on some quest of discovery. Then they just leave it unfinished and move on.

One particularly hilarious bit was when they were diving in the sea looking at ship wrecks. They were wearing the old standard SCUBA mouthpieces that you hold in your mouth but then they did voice overs to pretend they were talking to each other and the surface. You can't talk with a SCUBA mouthpiece inside your mouth.

Extremely Fascinating
iceboy987 May 2020
Every episode is well made and very fascinating. They don't try to give fantastical evidences and instead try to focus on real facts that can be backed up by history and science. Highly recommended if you're into the unexplained and unexplored!

Especially the episode on Lewis!!! Holy crap that one had me on the edge of my seat!!!

GOOD SHOW, GOOD TALENT
sarahtopdavies28 June 2022
You can tell that these two tried to tell a good story and do the leg-work but were probably being pulled back to DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA by a frazzled channel exec who was simply beg hounded to chase ratings and dumb it down...it's a tough line to walk but I actually loved the guys and the show...

Re-writing history
drjgardner21 December 2019
I only saw the episode about the killing of Meriwether Lewis and it was mind-boggling. Forget everything you think you knew about Lewis, the Lewis and Clark expedition, the so-called suicide of Lewis, Aaron Burr, etc. These guys did their homework and made a major contribution to history. My only regret for this episode is that they didn't follow-up thoroughly on the DNA to see if it could be linked to someone.

I want more of this show
mark-365433 January 2020
These guys are both really knowledgeable and I would love to see this spin off with future seasons giving them several episodes to dig deeper into these mysteries. One episode is just not enough. These guys are much more interesting to watch than the Oak Harbour guys.
