Nuclear reactors currently in service have some problems. Radioactive waste is the biggest one. Collant system reliability is another failure of which lead to the world's three worst nuclear accidents. The passive safety measures of new molten salt reactor designs with thorium replacing the uranium fuel show promise for reducing these problems.—David Foss
