Later, Lucifer goes to Linda's house and finds her pumping her breasts. He says that Chloe has mojo, leading with the fact that the two of them had sex. Linda tells him that it's wonderful they finally had sex, and he says that now Chloe can expose people's desires like he can. Lucifer wonders if he's given his power to everyone he's had sex with and didn't know it, and Linda wonders if she had it since they had sex. Linda asks Lucifer what his desire is but nothing happens. He wonders what his role in their partnership is if Chloe can do the same thing he can. Ella admits that she has a thing with Pete and they had sex. Lucifer arrives, and Ella smiles as she watches him and Chloe together. Dan has called in sick, and Ella leads Chloe and Lucifer into the nearby suburban house.
The victim, soprano Diane Luna, has her vocal cords slashed then tied to a chair with lilies in her hand. There's a puncture mark on her neck, and Ella figures that Luna was injected with a paralytic. Lucifer is eager to use his mojo on the neighbors, and Ella says that Norm Shultz, Luna's neighbor, found the body. Chloe and Lucifer go over to the waiting Norm, Lucifer eager to get his confession with his mojo. Norm, a teenager, isn't affected by Lucifer's mojo. He accuses Chloe of stealing his mojo.
Lucifer tries his mojo on a passing uni, but the mojo still doesn't work. Chloe questions Norm, who says that he was in a fantasy game guild and has an alibi. He did hear Luna's nightly vocal exercises, and then an argument. Chloe asks for his game log to confirm his alibi, then overhears Lucifer. When she goes over, Lucifer says that he's powerless and suggests that when they had sex, his mojo passed from him to her. Chloe says that she was playing around and doesn't have his mojo, and Lucifer has her try to mojo him. The detective reluctantly does, and Lucifer seemingly falls under the spell, saying that he wants his mojo back.
Chloe is impressed and figures it's killer, then tells Lucifer that they've already got together and Lucifer is finding an excuse to freak out. She tells him to enjoy it, and Lucifer seemingly agrees.
At the house, Maze comes in and drops her weapons on the floor. Amenadiel is building a new baby toy, and tells her that he and Dan were supposed to go to a baseball game, but Dan ditched him at the last minute. Maze warns that she's not a spoiler brat, and Charlie will become one if Amenadiel and Linda keep buying him more toys. He tries to remember what he did before he had Charlie, and Maze looks at him suggestively.

According to his web site, Canales is a vocal coach. Ella confirms that Luna and Canales were sexting back and forth, even though Canales is married. Lucifer suggests that they talk to Canales, just as Pete arrives and bumps into the conference room glass door. He tells Ella that he scored two tickets to a Star Trek convention, and Ella speaks in Klingon to demonstrate her knowledge of the show. Pete responds in kind, and Ella tells Lucifer that the 24th century is big enough for both of them. Chloe tells Lucifer that sharing isn't hard.
Lucifer and Chloe go to Canales' recording studio, and Lucifer tells Chloe that she's got it as far as using "their" mojo. Chloe asks Canales what he desires, and he offers to tell her anything she wants to know. He's shocked to learn that Luna is dead. Canales says that his marriage has been over for almost a year, and he only keeps the family photos up on his website for appearance. Lucifer figures that Canales killed Luna, but Canales says that Luna was his best "calling card". She was going to go public with accusations against an opera star and Canales was trying to talk her out of it. Canales says that Niels Schuman is a jerk and flies into temper fits for no reason. Luna wanted to bring him down, and Canales warned that Schuman would end her.

Chloe goes to the penthouse and calls out that Canales' alibi checks out. They can't question Schuman because he's in the air flying back from a performance in NYC. Chloe finds Lucifer waiting for her on his bed, naked, and says that he wants to have sex with her so he can get his mojo back. Chloe is skeptical, and Lucifer insists that they have to try something. She says that she really wants to have sex with Lucifer, but says that putting an agenda on it sucks the fun out of it. Chloe worries that Lucifer is having a hard time and relationships are about give and take. Lucifer points out that so far Chloe is the only one taking

She also says that it's showing that Lucifer is growing.

Schuman is doing an opera photoshoot in a theater and having a photographer snap PR shots. Chloe and Lucifer look on, and Chloe tells Lucifer that she's so used to dismissing Lucifer's antics that she hasn't taken him seriously. Lucifer reveals that he's carrying a gun, and Chloe figures if that's the emotional crutch he needs to deal with the loss of his mojo then she'll do her best to be understanding.
Schuman yells at an assistant for eating in his eye line. Lucifer and Chloe come over and identify themselves, and Schuman says that Luna's accusations are true but irrelevant. He says that it's not illegal to demand nothing from the best from his employees. Schuman is glad to have the change in his reputation scare off the "losers who can't cut it", and says he has no reason to want Luna dead. Lucifer suggests that Chloe use her new mojo on Schuman, despite Chloe worrying that it would bother Lucifer.
Chloe uses her mojo on Schuman, and Schuman says that he most desires their interview to be over so he can go back to his photoshoot. The detective tries again, and Schuman wonders if Chloe is having a stroke. Lucifer wonders if he has his mojo back and tries it on Schuman, but Schuman still isn't affected.

That night, another singer wakes up in her kitchen, tied to a chair. A man, Les Klumpsky, comes in and the singer, Madison Evans, begs him to help her. Klumpsky approaches Madison, holding lilies.
The next morning, the police secure the crime scene and Chloe figures that they're dealing with the same serial killer who killed Luna. Ella blames herself for not spotting the calls, and says that she found glitter on Madison's body but it was a dead end. Madison was an elementary school teacher, and all the killer left behind was stuff he wanted them to find. Chloe suggests they track down lily suppliers, and figures the killer wanted to take away his victims' voices. Lucifer figures the killer wants to take away their power.
Back at the police lab, Chloe confirms that several women were murdered the same way across the country over the last several years. Lilies weren't found with their bodies so no one made the connection. Ella says that they'll catch the killer, and Chloe wonders why she's so optimistic. The technician says that Pete told her to focus on what she got write, and both women agree that it's good that Ella found a good man. Lucifer comes in and gives Chloe the leads on the flower shops, and Chloe tells Lucifer that she could really use his help running them down.
Lucifer and Chloe go to the flower shops, and at the second-to-last one they talk to the clerk, Danilo. Danilo called in to say he sold the lilies the previous day, and his grandmother Jovita sold them but she doesn't speak English, just Chinese. Chloe praises Lucifer's linguistic skills, and Danilo warns that Jovita doesn't like cops. Jovita is mad that Danilo called the police, and Chloe talks about how Lucifer isn't a cop but is very charming.
Lucifer talks to Jovita, and Chloe notices Danilo wrapping flowers with glitter tape. She realizes that it's the same glitter Ella found on Madison's body, and calls Lucifer over and points out the clue. Lucifer says that the man paid with cash, but Jovita remembers that the killer came in and saw him leave in an Uber. Chloe figures that they can track the Uber.
That night at Lux, Maze and Amenadiel sit in a booth and Maze drinks shots. She refuses to discuss what fighting him was about, and Amenadiel wonders if it's about Lilith. Maze says that it Maze's idea to have soulless offspring, dooming Maze to be alone. Amenadiel figures that Maze was trying to rekindle what they had, and Maze points out that everyone has rejected her but she rejected Amenadiel. She wondered if that was a mistake, and if only an angel could love a soulless demon. Amenadiel tells her that she went to find her own path and she did, and she's grown a lot since that. Maze figures that she hasn't grown enough, and Amenadiel tells her that he's never heard of a demon getting a soul. However, no one has heard of all the miraculous things that have happened to Lucifer and his friends. Amenadiel suggests that if anyone is going to find what they're looking for, it's Maze.
Chloe and Lucifer go to the apartment address the Uber dropped the killer off at. They have Klumpsky's name from the Uber profile. Chloe praises Lucifer's contributions to the case, and he tells her that she can stop flattering him and he needs to sort it out on his own. They get the warrant, and the partners break into Klumpsky's apartment. Klumpsky isn't there, and photos of the victims including his next victim. There's a receipt for flowers, the flowers just purchased a few hours ago. Chloe figures that Klumpsky will strike again soon.
After sending the photo facial recognition to identify the mystery woman in the photo, Chloe asks Lucifer if he's found any clues. He hasn't and bemoans the fact he can't stop the killer. Chloe says that they're a team, and Ella and Pete arrive in costume from the Star Trek convention. The detective shows them the photo of the intended victim, and has them scour the apartment for clues. The quartet go over the apartment, and Ella finds more pictures in Klumpsky's dark room. As Ella and Pete check the negatives, Ella apologizes for the dark date. She then finds something on one of the negatives and calls in Chloe and Lucifer. Pete blows up the negative, revealing that Klumpsky took photos of the woman and she lives in the same apartment building.
Chloe and Lucifer go to the apartment number in the photo, and split up. The detective goes to the woman's apartment and knocks at the door, and a boy answers the door. He doesn't speak but doesn't recognize the woman, and Chloe knocks at the doors of nearby apartments.
Lucifer finds an open apartment door and goes in. Klumpsky injects Lucifer in the neck with a syringe filled with the paralytic, and Lucifer grabs him by the neck, holds him up, and asks how it feels to be powerless. Lewis then collapses, affected by the paralytic despite being a celestial being. Klumpsky insists that "they" have to listen, and drags Lucifer to the kitchen where he's secured his next victim.
Chloe comes in, and Lucifer manages to signal her with his still-moving eyes. She dodges Klumpsky's knife blow, grabs Lucifer's gun from its holster, and shoots Klumpsky when he comes at her. Chloe then tells Lucifer that they did it.
As the unis take the wounded Klumpsky away, Chloe tells the others that Klumpsky confessed to all of the murders. Pete says that his editor has named Klumpsky "The Whisper Killer" because of his MO. The reporter laments that he has to boost serial killers' egos by writing about them. Ella tells him he should write the way he wants to and leaves with Chloe. Pete tells Lucifer that Ella really likes Lucifer and he likes Lucifer, and wishes they could get along. Lucifer assures Pete that he's doing everything right with Ella, and he enjoys sharing what Ella likes. He points out that Pete and Ella "empower" each other, and Pete explains that it's scary and wonders if he's not good enough for Ella. Pete says that it's not up to Ella and all he can do is let Ella judge for herself. Surprised at the insight, Lucifer agrees.
At the house, Linda prepares to go out after putting Charlie to bed. She wonders if Amenadiel misses grown-up stuff like the cocktails she's going out for, and Amenadiel says he was drinking with Maze after she picked a fight with him. Amenadiel says that they almost had sex, but she just needed someone to talk to. Linda tells Amenadiel that he's a good man and has the caretaker thing down. Amenadiel says that maybe it's okay he doesn't have much of a life outside of Charlie, and being a dad is the only thing he needs. He wonders if that's unhealthy and Linda assures him that it isn't. Linda tells him to enjoy the phase of Charlie's life while it lasts, and says that Charlie will need them less if they do a good job as parents. As Linda leaves, Amenadiel considers what she said.
Lucifer joins Chloe at the penthouse, and finds her looking at photos of Klumpsky's victims. He's surprised that she's there, and Chloe says something about the case is bothering her. She suggests that being there could be their new normal, and Lucifer cheerfully agrees. Lucifer proposes that they go out on the balcony for drinks, and Chloe joins him outside. She says that sometimes she forgets how powerful Lucifer is, and Lucifer says that he's less and less. Chloe tells him that being "normal" must be scary for him, and Lucifer figures that it's normal for humans. She suggests that Lucifer losing his mojo might be a good thing, and figures he's starting to let her in. Lucifer admits that he might have dropped his guard for the first time, and they kiss.
Chloe goes inside to freshen up, and Dan comes up in the elevator. Lucifer notes that he looks distraught, and Dan draws his gun on Lucifer. Chloe comes back and asks Dan what he's doing, and he says that he has to and shoots Lucifer. Lucifer falls to the ground and Chloe runs to him.
