'The Bells of Fraggle Rock', a pretty inventive take on the "the spirit was in us all along" Christmas trope. This time, it's Gobo who's lost faith, and he sets out to see if the Great Bell is real.
Growing up, I'd only seen bits and pieces of "Fraggle Rock"; enough to get an idea of the show and its characters. But I'd missed this one, and got to see it as part of Fathom Events' "Emmet Otter" double bill. I expected your typical Christmas special with a Fraggle twist, but the episode3 surprised me with a raising of the stakes (seeing the other characters nearly freeze to death is actually pretty effective) and a heartfelt conclusion.
And on top of that, there's Sprocket trying to whack a pinata while blindfolded. Loved it.
