This series sees the return of Yuji Sakai, Shana and most of the other characters from the first season as well as a few new ones. Yuji finds himself targeted by various individuals who want to take the 'Midnight Lost Child' from him; something that will lead to his death. Over the course of the series it emerges that he has a power somehow linked to the denizen who killed somebody close to Margery Daw and the Midnight Lost Child contains the spirit of Johan; somebody loved by a denizen named Pheles. There are also others who want to take the 'Midnight Lost Child' to create another powerful denizen that will endanger the world.
This was an enjoyable second series which takes the characters from the first series and develops them further there is no time wasted explaining what is going on so it is advisable to watch the first series or the world in which this is set will be rather confusing. As before the characters are well designed and the action is animated well making it fairly exciting. It isn't just a series of fights though; there is a decent amount of emotional content making us care about the characters. Overall a fun series that I'd certainly recommend to anybody who enjoyed the previous series.
