As Sebastian is playing with the hand guns, he pretends to blow smoke off the pistol in his left hand, then raises the weapon in his right hand to do the same, but shoots himself in the head. In the cut-away, as he is falling, it is his left hand that is raised, holding the gun under his chin. The two images are possibly from different takes of the same scene.
When Kristin is surprised that Andy is home from Mt. Everest, she comments that the weather has been some of the best seen in November. Mt. Everest is climbed in April and May, never in November.
When David is served with a deposition subpoena, this is the first he and the church learn they've been sued. This is not how lawsuits work. A case is filed, the parties are served with a summons and complaint, they file a written answer, there are motions filed, there's written discovery, and the depositions occur after that. So David would have long known he had been sued by then. And the depositions would not have occurred so quickly.
In the depositions, the plaintiff's lawyer (Lemonhead) and David's lawyer keep interrupting each other to question the witnesses. At one point, Lemonhead even asks David a question when he's merely sitting there observing. This is not at all how depositions work. In reality, the lawyer scheduling the deposition asks a series of questions, and the witness' lawyer can only object. Only later can the witness' lawyer ask her own questions. And there's no questioning of other people in the room.
As Sebastian is playing with the two auto pistols, prior to shooting himself, the hammers of both firearms are seen to be cocked, and ready to fire. After the shot, the camera pans up his prone body, and the hammers of both pistols are seen to be down. While he may have de-cocked the left-hand gun after blowing the 'smoke' off the barrel, he would not have been able to do so for the right-hand gun which fired the fatal shot, so that hammer at least should still be cocked, ready for subsequent single-action firing.
There are multiple shots looking from behind either of Townsend or Lemonhead focused on the person they are talking to where Townsend's and Lemonhead's mouths are not moving in sync with the audio.
