Simply amazing--but not exactly a film in the traditional sense.

This is a truly amazing piece of art that in most ways isn't very much like a film. Instead of a traditional narrative, the film is like a series of amazing photos that are completely 3-dimensional and they slowly blend together to tell a story.

The credits begin at the actual end of the story--you don't realize this until late in the film. Then the scene becomes a still photo where the camera moves about the entire scene in a way that is simply amazing. It's like all motion has ceased and you are allowed to wander about the scene. You initially see a guy with a camera and then you notice he's apparently stalking a guy who is in the midst of a sex act in his car (don't worry--this isn't explicit and it's fine for older teens to see). Slowly, the camera winds about the entire scene until the scene seamlessly changes again and again until the conclusion. During none of this is there any obvious movement of the characters as the transitions were made seamlessly.

I know all this sounds rather vague. This is a film that you simply need to see to appreciate and understand. All I know is that the technology and the effort was stupendous. This French production deserves major kudos for making a truly unique and amazing film.
