Continuity

During the initial briefing, Morgan and his coffee are all over the place. Rossi walks past him while he's stirring his coffee just as the briefing begins, and the next shot shows him turning around to lean his back against the counter; you can just see the side of his arm in the next shot of Rossi. However, when Rossi comments, "Montana is requesting our help?" Morgan is turned back toward the counter and stirring again. The next clip of Rossi shows Morgan's arm back in its original position, which is where Morgan is when he asks his next question... though his arms are positioned in such a way that it's obvious he's no longer holding the coffee cup.

Factual errors

The tapes recovered in the unsub's ranch house are MiniDV (digital); yet when Garcia plays them back on her computer, there are "degradation lines" associated with analog videotapes. "Degradation lines" do not appear on MiniDV tapes (or any type of digital videotape), no matter how bad the tape is.

Crew or equipment visible

When Rossi and Reid are being led to Goehring's trailer by the park manager, the shadow of either the camera or sound equipment pass briefly over Reid's back.

Character error

When Reid brings ammo out from the unsub's house the sheriff says "7.62 millimeter. He's got an assault rifle." There is however no way for him to know this as there are plenty of semi-automatic rifles which use this round, as well as a few handguns.
