Very solid 7

For me, 7 is the perfect rating for this show, even tho I probably enjoyed it more than that, considering that it is a Serbian production. It has some cliches and overly dramatic moments and honestly, a bit of miscasting, but overall, I enjoyed it very much. I hope to see more stuff like this or a continuation of this season.

Captivating and well done

I'm afraid that some of the reviews found here reflect politically opinionated authors rather than those who focus on the "product and content", but nevertheless... I'm old enough and worked in TV media at the time (in the Balkans), so I remember well how things used to be done. Of course it's based on true events, but some of the missing parts of the story sold to the public had to be filled in by the authors, but those fiction parts are still credible. I think they did a great job. Excellent casting, B. Isakovic, M. Karanovic, T. Markovic, L. Bandovic, M. Maric and V. Kostic as well as all major cast - they all did an outstanding job! Make up artists too. However, I found the "archival" or better footage from personal archives that backs up opening credits in every episode rather annoying with those blurred faces and the editing itself. This particular thing could have been done better. Also, on the channel on which I watched the series, the closing credits (I presume that they had been done) were missing (or were cut off) and that's a shame.

It is insane how Boris Isakovic looks like Slobodan Milosevic. His face, movement, how he talks and at the end his significant look form the eyes. They couldn't have found better actor for this difficult role. Bravo!

How great that episodes go every day on TV. It's so close to binge watching but much better because you are looking forward to watching it 5 days in a row. Hope that every new series would be emitted like this.

It takes courage to film a series about Milosevic and his family. That is a sensitive period for the whole nation and everyone has its own political opinion. However I think that production wanted us to see how the private life of the Milosevic family was and I think they made it.

Porodica is a tv show about the end of that one era in Serbia and we shouldn't forget it. That period is behind us whether we like it or not, but one thing is for sure the acting here is incredible.

Is Porodica also a story of tragic love?

I can't help but wonder if this tv show is also a story about tragic love. The amount of love that Sloba and Mira have for each other is just on another level. We knew that they were madly in love but seeing this on tv screens makes me wonder what happened after they were not together anymore? I would say that this story is not just about politics but also about the last days that they spent together.

This historical TV show is something that hasn't been seen before in this region. Great job for the whole team, but the biggest respect goes to BORIS ISAKOVIC! He is a genius.

I'm one of those who didn't know much about that period in the 90s. We didn't have a chance to learn it properly in high school and I think this show is very educational for me and my generation.

Isakovic like Slobodan and Maric in role of Ceda - glorious indeed. Also music, from intro (Crv) through show and at the end, best of 90s.

This is how look great TV show.

Djindjic could be more charismatic, maybe Micanovic was better choise.

I don't know what to think about the Family. I am disappointed. I would give Boris Isakovic 10. And the girl who played Maria. But everything else is unbearable. 5/10.

This WOMAN is everything. Her acting is marvelous, it's insane how much they look alike. Just couldn't imagine some else in this role. She deserves an Oscar.

To act Cedomir Jovanovic of that time isn't an easy thing to do. But this awesome young actor Milan Maric did a great job. He has the same energy in this tv show as Ceda has in real life.

Loving how every single detail in this tv show is from the 90s. We had the best music at that time and it's really cool how they used it here. The only bad thing here is that it has just 5 episodes.

The scenes, the casting, the acting! Everything just screams masterpiece!! Well done, well done, well done! Coming to terms with the consequences of what Milosevic has done to so many people is very important for Serbia and its people. Now if only other countries could follow that example. The last scene with Djindjic is INCREDIBLE and will be with me forever!

First of all, great acting, loved performancec os Slobo and Mira, they did amazing job with those two, good production too, BUT

Most of us know who was Balkanian Butcher, Slobodan Milosevic, a war criminal, and yet here in this show they portarai him as a victim both him and hes family ,,, imagine if someone makes movie or series about Hitler and show Adolf as a victiim, come one, are you serious,,, this is totaly wrong, so wrong,

Serbia has given us several outstanding TV series in recent years so it was natural with a story as captivating as Milosevic' arrest there'd be great expectations. Sadly, they remain unfulfilled, the show kicks off with an amateurish intro and never quite picks up. Some of the acting is not bad and make up looks top notch but despite loads of regional star power the whole thing just doesn't grab the viewer. Too bad, with a bit of extra work on the script and more competent direction it could have been much better.

I do not recommend the series.

Humiliation of Slobodan Milosevic and his family, shown through a series of 5 episodes. Too many fictional scenes and actions. Nothing more than garbage. I do not recommend the series.
