Sometimes interesting!

I cringe every time he addresses people with 'You Guys' and find this very inappropriate.

I realize it's done a lot but that does not make it right and every time it happens to me I will say something about .

Go back to Madam/Sir or people!

Unique content and an opportunity to learn
pjconger30 July 2021
I love this show! It is such a fresh take on the "home makeover" market that has gotten so dull and redundant. Instead of monetizing renovations or makeovers, this show REALLY tells the stories of the homeowners and what THEY value, ie: their legacies. For every family it is different. Some families have amazing civil rights leaders in their fold, others simply have unique ancestors or collections, or art. It could be the history of the house itself, or it's inhabitants. Either way, I learn something new on every episode and feel more enriched for the experience. The personalities of Matt Paxton's team also shine through and make each find a delight. As an added bonus, I have learned many tips and tricks to downsize my own life and value what's important. I highly recommend this show.

Mixed bag of goods, kinda like the estates they peruse
WatchingInDarkness21 February 2021
The format is a cross between junk pickers looking through estates of the deceased or those who are downsizing, crossed with lots of content apologizing for white privilege. Racial issues are mixed in with "discoveries" of stuff in neglected and hoarded rooms of families.

Bit of a shotgun marriage between collector audiences and SJW's, with really long reaches to splice the two.

Show is a solid 5. Ok when nothing better is on, but not worth regular viewing.

Interesting Concept. Weak Execution.

The show, script, team, and website come across.as somewhat unauthentic and unreliable/untrustworthy. Certainly there are families who need to downsize and who need help doing so. Legacy List as a 'consultancy' online, projects a service that seems to reflect an interest in sorting and digitizing photos, film, and family media and in cleaning out a garage, or in making sense of the kinds of things we might see at 'Antique Road Show'. In AR, we seldom if ever question the viability of the experts' expertise. In Legacy List, we never know if we are hearing and seeing a company that has any clue about more than closet clean-up, despite their understandable enthusiasm for a peek into private lives that often feel too private for the program leaders as well as for the viewers.
