¿Sabías que…?
- ErroresIn the opening scenes where Bethan catches a fish with a spear, when she lifts the fish from the water the spear has entered the fish beneath the mouth whereas the spear would have entered the fish from above.

Officer Ruby Patterson: JP, you should've been down on your knees, praising her for the goddess that she is,
Officer J.P. Hooper: Yes...
Officer Ruby Patterson: - not stopping to think about if you're happy or not. Do you not know anything?

Yes Neville mosquitoes, what else would you expect on a tropical island?
Police Commissioner Selwyn Paterson was informed that DI Neville Parker, was "Brilliant if a little annoying" by his superior Officer.
He also assured him that, "I am looking forward to seeing the Brilliant".
DI Parker is indeed a diligent and thorough investigator to the nth degree, so much so that some may regard him as rather pernickety in his approach.
I imagine that in the normal run of things in his life he wouldn't take anything for chance, rather looking into all eventualities before making a move.
Which is why I can't imagine anyone like this not thinking ahead and researching Saint Marie, before he even set foot on the plane from Manchester.
He would most surely have the very strongest sun barrier cream to hand, and have covered himself in copious quantities of it beforehand.
He would ensure that he had every single allergy covered with multitudinous backup, on hand to try and cover every conceivable eventuality.
But even his forethought didn't allow for what eventually poleaxed him Deep Vein Thrombosis, preventing him from being able to fly again for several weeks.
The Police Commissioner Selwyn Patterson ever solicitous of his welfare ensured that he, was moved post haste from his luxurious hotel surroundings. Back into his official police accommodation, his way of welcoming DI Neville Parker to the Paradise Island of Saint Marie.
Just rewatching this Episode I have forgotten the beginning and am frankly surprised by what occurred next.
Having discovered the body DS Madeleine Dumas and Police Commissioner Selwyn Patterson, arrived at DI Neville Parker official residence.
Apparently they need a senior officer to investigate a murder, and they want to see if he can lend a hand.
With the Commissioner not really wanting "to ask this particular officer", what the heck?
Parker has been apparently at home for a week after he collapsed, presumably laid off recuperating.
But like it or not he is the DI who has got the job so they all have to do is, simply get over any gripes and get on with the job in hand.
That is after all what they are employed and paid to do instead of Parker, whinging about sand and mosquitoes.
Or the Commissioner wanting to, if its slipping Neville a Mickey Finn well he could surely get away with that.
He also assured him that, "I am looking forward to seeing the Brilliant".
