Plot Summary

Emmy® Nomination in Outstanding Daytime Fiction Program. 'Take My Heart' premiered at the Oscar and BAFTA-qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival and subsequently screened at its second Oscar-qualifying Festival: Pan African Film + Arts Festival 2021, followed by the Micheaux Film Festival. At the Micheaux, the film was part of history being made as one of the first films to screen live during the pandemic at the legendary TCL Chinese Theatres in the heart of Hollywood. Take My Heart had its New York City Premier at The Museum of the Moving Image in 2023. The film is lead by rising star Joy Sunday, Kim Estes and Roy Williams Jr. Brief synopsis: Mackenzie is a talented singer and songwriter who reconnects with her father Ray when he hears her sing for the first time after a few years of separation. The opportunity for reconciliation is almost upended when Mac's ex boyfriend, Fox, appears on the scene. A family story of forgiveness and redemption. Written by VisionFire Films
