Plot

To smoke out Barin, Ming deems all of the Verden people captive labor - and Dale is among those captured. To raise funds, Flash and Baylin hunt scorpion-like creatures. Meanwhile, Barin clues Aura into uncovering the identity of her mother.—Vinnie Rattolle

A speaker is chosen by surviving scorpion sting. He makes a prophesy before dying, a warrioir will unite the broken people. Ming thinks this means Barin (Steve Bacic).

Flash (Eric Johnson) Dale (Gina Holden) and Baylin (Karen Cliche) rescue an verden outcast who is injured. They take him to a bar to be healed.

Dale is captured and sold on to Ming. Flash joins Barin. Barin gives himself up to Ming to release his verden supporters. Flash collects scorpoins, fakes a ceremony to Prophesy 'in failure he triumphs' with the recovered verden. Aura (Anna Van Hooft) pleads for the life of Barin, giving Ming an excuse to spare him. Barin tells Aura about her parents.
