A total waste of talent, time and money. I really like Greg and I was very excited to see him in a lead role. Very bad selection of script. Can't believe DQ greenlit this project.

The movie was only 1hr 50mins long but it felt like an eon. Very slow and laggy. Cinematography was good. Music was welldone but a little overpowering. It's a musical. Although the actors gave their best the storyline was too cringey to take them seriously. Avoidable movie.

Horoscope didn't go well with the story too

I dont what they meant to convey with this movie, stories being told without proper direction or end, weird storyline with no proper explanation. Only positives in this movie is the cinematography and the music. Even acting seems to fall flat.

Dulqar should have planted a vaazha instead of making this movie!

This movie was poorly directed!! There was no real storyline!! The acting was mediocre! Please don't waste your time watching this movie! I can't believe people put time, effort, and money to produce this crap! The only decent thing about this movie was the camera work!

Simple story of a simple guy

I loved the story, basically runs around Ashokan, his troubles of getting a suitable girl for marriage. It's a movie highlighting those who feel a bit shy due to their appearance, beautifully captured and showed in the movie.

Great Cinematography and good performances by the actors. There are a lot of side stories which could have been better and be incorporated into the main story some of them are even left untold some of them have no connection to the main plot of the story. The movie is shot in rural Kerala and shows how in simplicity there is elegance.

• Watched in Netflix. Running time: 1 hr 50 minutes.
• In one word, it is a decent feel good movie.
• Story is about hero Ashokan trying to find a bride. Who is the bride is a suspense and it will only reveal at the end.
• Film started slow, became interesting till halftime. After that slight lag was there and conclusion was good.
• Overall the film gives a positive feel throughout the movie.
• Cinematography is good as well as songs.
• Some side stories were not explained well.
• Final Verdict: Watch

Movie is definitely a terrible failure, poor storyline and with flop direction. There are great visuals, and the cinematographer has done his part with total dedication. One hour 50 minutes is wasted watching this movie Maniyarayile Ashokan released on Netflix on 31.08.2020.

A simple movie feel good movie

It's a simple movie with a simple story. Movie starts with some comedies and good performances. Grigory and his co actors did well especially actor Sudheesh. Story does give a fresh feeling. The visuals are beautiful. Location gives you good monsoon village feel.

Movie has many actors and actresses. I felt it that many characters weren't required. It failed to establish character outlook fr the actors and actresses. Sunny vein and dqs role were just for the market value of the movie. Songs were also more in numbers which sometimes felt unnecessary.

The script and direction had to be improved. Continuity issues and lack of clarity was there.

Overall its a good attempt which definitely gives you a fresh feeling.

A really bad movie.

There's nothing new in this movie. Except the weirdness in the plot in which the protagonist marries a banana tree. Gregory's performance is the only positive in this movie. Dulquer's Wayfarer Movies disappoints yet again. Eventhough there's a long list of actresses, none of them leaves a mark except for Anupama Parameswaran's charmness. Overall, I didn't like this movie at all and I only recommend this to people who still are okay with watching the same old family movie clichés with nothing new.

As long as you don't expect this movie typical Malayalam movie, you would be fine. Don't expect it to be something with major twist or drama or comedy.

Some of the characters over did their parts. Some of the dialogues are like watching a "nadakam" live. Some song positioning and necessity is questionable. Movie dragged towards the end.

I don't understand the bad reviews and their remarks.

I appreciate the courage of the director and producer to bring the film to audience who already saw the films like 'CU soon' and 'Kilometer & kilometres' etc.. They should use their common sense while directing a film. Also hats off to the poet who wrote the songs, you should have spend some time to here the songs written by Gireesh putherncheri, Vayalar, Yousafali, P Bhaskaran etc. Don't waste your time by watching this film.
