When Sophie and Michael are sitting outside her cottage after he finds the note on the kitchen counter, the locks of hair draping his face change position from the start of the scene, where there are a few errant locks, to the middle of the scene, when those locks are pushed back, to the end of the scene, when one lock again drapes over his face.

When Kailey puts the photo album on the sofa, it is on a cushion. In the next shot, the photo album can be seen next to the cushion.

When Sophie and Kailey are making waffles and Michael gets upset because he has stopped his daughter from almost burning her hand, there is quite a bit of batter already poured into the waffle maker with the lid shut. Michael decides to finish making waffles after the scene has continued a few minutes, but when he opens up the waffle maker, the batter that was in there is still completely raw.

It is never mentioned where Summerside is located. While the telephone number for Michael's handyman business, as shown on the side of his truck, is Washington state (area code 206), the license plates on all the local vehicles are Oregon.
