A billboard inside of Bad Janet's void reads, "Pirates of the Caribbean 12: Jack Sparrow Fights Aquaman, Probably. I Mean At This Point What Does It Matter"
Jason's line, "Shawn, you used to be cool, but you've changed, man!" took over an hour to film because the cast couldn't stop laughing. When Manny Jacinto first delivered the line, it caused a few snickers, and Jacinto built off the energy, adding crossed arms and other melodramatic gestures and voice tones. Each subsequent take grew more and more over-the-top until the entire cast was in hysterics (reportedly, Ted Danson was in tears from laughing so hard). Michael Schur arrived to work shortly after and was stunned to learn that not only was filming an hour behind, it was behind because of a single line.
Chidi's "crime against nature" horse drawing is running around in Bad Janet's void.
The scene where Chidi is wearing roller skates is very reminiscent to the scene in Filibuster (2013), where Leslie Knope wears roller skates. Both scenes involved giving a speech/presentation during an important moment in their respective shows - both of which were created by Michael Schur.
