The movies is about Portuguese immigrants community, but the first soundtrack at the beginning of the movie is a Brazilian music rap.
The undercover cop rushes to his mother's house and arrives there in his normal appearance. He would not have had time to remove his makeup or put it back on afterwards. This inconsistency is intentional to allow for another plot later.
