Isla Fisher in Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009)

Goofs

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Edit

Continuity

While Rebecca is in the interview at Successful Savings, the desk behind her is alternately occupied and empty between shots. In one shot, Hayley talking on the phone, with the green scarf on her lap. In the next shot, she is gone. In the next shot, she is at the door, giving Rebecca her scarf.
When Rebecca and Luke are standing together in front of Acery, the mannequin in the window wears a black dress with white spots. In the next shot, it's wearing a different dress.
At the Successful Savings office, Luke says he wants Rebecca to go to the "APA conference." Rebecca asks Hayley what the APA conference is. The camera moves to Luke. When it moves back to Rebecca, Hayley is gone.
During the fan dance, the fan changes positions between wide and tight shots.
In the last scene, when Rebecca is walking past the mannequins and talking to Luke, every shot of Luke shows a woman in the background, starting in the same spot behind him, walking toward the camera.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

When Rebecca takes the green scarf to the counter, the cashier says "That's $120." Rebecca gives her $50 cash, charges $30 on one card, $10 on another card, and tries to put $20 on a different card which is declined. She got the $20 in cash, but the grand total is $110. She tried 2 more blue cards before the golden card was declined. It's very likely at least one of them was charged the missing $10.
When Suze and Rebecca are going over credit card statements, Suze asks Rebecca how she will pay off "16 thousand, TWELVE hundred, 62 dollars, and 72 cents" without a job. Both women are very drunk, so she is probably too drunk to read the number correctly.
After Rebecca talks to the Nokia man, Janne Virtanen of Finland, he claims "We Scandinavians like her." Most Finns don't consider themselves Scandinavians, but that view has been changing.

Revealing mistakes

When Rebecca is riding in a cab, a close-up of the window is visible. Two billboards are reflected in the window, but the images are not reversed.
Fitting the bridesmaid dress and the fact that Rebecca took it with her take place in two consecutive scenes, almost in the second half of movie. She took her bridesmaid dress and the other one she had just bought for TV show to treatment session, where she was forced to donate both to charity. At the fitting time, bridesmaid dress had sleeves on the shoulders but at the wedding when Rebecca took the dress back from the poor woman the sleeves are on the arms.

Character error

When the receptionist of Dantay-West headquarters checks his email, one of the email box columns is misspelled "Recieved".
